Materials and safety

Straight to the steel.

Your food touches uncoated 304 stainless steel. What's in the pan matters, and so does the surface it cooks on.

ONE POT

5 layers. Base to rim.

Fully clad construction carries five layers of metal through the base and sides. Heat spreads across the whole pan, while the 3.5 mm thickness helps it hold steady as you sear.

Food-contact surface: 304 stainless steel

Materials and safety

Cast steel handle.

Cast in one piece, the long steel handle meets the pan at two points, with an open Y-shaped junction.

Steel gets hot. Always use oven gloves to move a hot ONE POT.

Use and care

Sealed at the rim.

The metal layers are enclosed at the rim. Flared sides leave more room for stirring sauces and bringing ingredients together.

ONE POT

Good to know

Does food stick to stainless steel?

It can stick if the pan is too cool or the ingredients are wet. Preheat ONE POT over a medium heat, add fat, pat your ingredients dry and give them time to brown. They will then release from the surface more easily.

Does the handle get hot?

Yes. The steel handle, lid and sides can get very hot, especially in the oven or during long cooking. Use oven gloves to move the pan and remove the lid.

How do I clean marks off the steel?

Let the pan cool first. Soak burnt-on food and remove it with a soft sponge; a paste of bicarbonate of soda can help with stubborn residue. Rainbow marks from heating can be removed with a little white vinegar.

Where is ONE POT made?

ONE POT is made in China. We looked for a manufacturer who could build it exactly as we intended, consistently and without compromising on our specification. Every part of ONE POT was designed: its proportions and shape, its layers of metal, its sealed rims and the details you might not notice at first, but that determine how long it will serve you.

Can I use metal utensils?

Yes, as the surface has no non-stick coating. Metal can leave scratches on the steel, though. If you want to reduce signs of use, choose wood or silicone for everyday stirring.
