ONE BOARD Checker is an end-grain chopping board. 46 × 30 × 4 cm.

  • Make room for the prep. Onions, vegetables, the ingredients for tonight. There is room to get them ready before you turn on the hob.
  • End grain, explained. The ends of the wooden blocks form the chopping surface. Their fibres run upright through the board.
  • A pattern made by the wood. Carbonised acacia, carbonised rubberwood and natural rubberwood form the chequerboard. Natural grain makes each board a little different.

ONE BOARD Checker

Good to know

What does end-grain mean?

The blocks stand with the ends of the wood grain facing up. You cut across the grain, rather than along it.

Can it go in the dishwasher?

No. Clean the board by hand, wipe it dry and leave it standing upright to air-dry.

Where are your boards made?

Our boards are made in China by a factory that sources some of its wood from Poland and has practised this craft sustainably for generations. As well as quality, consistency mattered to us: the same standard of workmanship in every batch.

Does it need oiling?

Yes. Regular care with an oil intended for chopping boards helps keep the wood in good condition.
