Warranty
Version dated 27 October 2026.
Warranty terms for 1991 products
1. The Warrantor is WE ARE 1991 sp. z o.o., plac Bankowy 2, 00-095 Warszawa, Poland. KRS 0001262444, NIP 5253103454, REGON 545560688; share capital PLN 5,000. The company is entered in the register of entrepreneurs of the National Court Register maintained by the District Court for the Capital City of Warsaw in Warsaw, 12th Commercial Division of the National Court Register. Contact: hello@1991.pl, telephone +48 510 106 852 (customer service from 9:00 to 17:00 Polish time; calls charged at your operator's rates).
2. The warranty covers all products purchased from the 1991 Store, including kitchen equipment and accessories, textiles and clothing, food, cosmetics, care and cleaning products, and consumables. It applies for 24 months from receipt of the product, in the countries to which the Store sold and delivered it.
3. The warranty covers defects in materials, manufacture and assembly, and any resulting loss of the stated functions that becomes apparent during the warranty period, provided the product is used, stored and cared for correctly, in accordance with its intended purpose and instructions. Kitchen equipment and accessories are intended for use in a domestic kitchen.
4. For food, cosmetics, care products and other consumables, the warranty covers defects in quality, manufacture or packaging. The 24-month period does not extend the use-by date, best-before date or stated period of use after opening, and does not mean that the contents will last for two years. Normal use or depletion of a product in accordance with its intended purpose is not a defect. An exclusion relating to expiry applies only where that expiry, rather than a defect covered by the warranty, caused the reported problem.
5. Examples of covered defects may include faulty joints, rivets and handle attachments, delamination, a faulty mill mechanism, an incorrectly fitting lid or container, separation of a board's glued joints, or a defective seam. Cover is not limited to the product's structure. These examples apply to components present in the particular product.
6. The warranty does not cover normal wear consistent with the duration and reasonable intensity of use, or damage caused by dropping, impact, use other than as intended, improper care or storage, or modification. This also applies to damage caused by intensive catering use beyond the intended domestic purpose. An exclusion applies only where the particular cause is connected with the reported problem; purchasing as a business does not in itself invalidate the warranty.
7. Overheating beyond the limits in the instructions, sudden cooling, an unsuitable cleaning product, or dishwashing a product explicitly marked as unsuitable for dishwashers may justify refusing a claim only to the extent of the damage caused. We do not apply one temperature limit or one set of care instructions to all products. Scratches, discolouration and changes in natural materials are not automatically excluded: we assess their cause, safety and conformity with the stated properties.
8. You can submit a warranty claim to hello@1991.pl or to the Warrantor's postal address. Please provide contact details for our reply, an order number or other proof of purchase, the product name, a description of the problem, the date you noticed it and your preferred resolution. Photographs are helpful but optional. The absence of a receipt or the original packaging does not prevent a claim if the purchase can be demonstrated in another way.
9. In Poland, we provide a free InPost dispatch code. If it cannot be used, particularly abroad or because of the parcel's size, we agree another collection or shipping method at no cost to the Customer. Service address: DTW, ul. Sochaczewska 98c, 05-870 Błonie Wieś, Poland; mark the parcel: WE ARE 1991. The Warrantor pays the transport, assessment, material and labour costs of fulfilling the warranty. Please contact us first to obtain a code or arrange collection, and protect the product for transport.
10. The Customer may request a free repair or replacement with a product free from defects. The Warrantor may use the other remedy if the chosen one is impossible or involves disproportionate costs. If both remedies are impossible or are not completed within the required time, the Customer may request a refund of the price paid for the product concerned in exchange for returning it at the Warrantor's expense. Any other solution requires the Customer's agreement.
11. We respond to the claim on a durable medium, such as email, within 14 days of receiving it. We repair or replace the product without delay, and no later than 30 calendar days after it is delivered or made available to the Warrantor. This maximum period does not remove the obligation to act within a reasonable time after the claim and without significant inconvenience; where the circumstances require a shorter period, the shorter period applies. If we refuse a claim, we explain the established cause and the relevant warranty term.
12. After a replacement or substantial repair, the warranty period starts again when the product is handed over to the Customer. When a component is replaced, this applies to that component. In other cases, the period is extended by the time during which the Customer could not use the product because of the defect covered by the claim.
13. If the goods sold do not conform to the contract, the buyer has statutory remedies against and at the expense of the Seller. This warranty does not affect or restrict those remedies. The Customer chooses the basis of the claim; if a claim is unclear, we clarify it rather than automatically treating it as a warranty claim. Details of statutory liability are provided on the Returns and complaints page.
14. We provide the warranty terms on a durable medium, such as in an email or attachment, no later than delivery of the product. We do not require product registration or the return of a warranty card. We honour any more favourable warranty promises binding at the time of purchase. This version does not reduce rights arising from earlier contracts or extend any shorter repair or replacement period applicable to those contracts.
